The word Raketu (pronounce ra-ke-tu) is a declension form of the Czech word ”rocket”. The sound of the word is also similar to pronunciation of the word “rocket” in Russian and Japanese. Please note that the word Raketu is not a mambo jumbo word. We chose this name not only because the visionary behind Raketu, G. Parker, is an astrophysicist, but also Raketu software will take communications and media the way we know it to another level.
Raketu was founded by Greg Parker and Martina West. From day one, Raketu offered a platform to deliver secure, encrypted, communications services. RakEM, its flagship app, sends secure text, images, voice and video, and it supports all languages and is in use in over 150 countries. Throughout the years, Raketu has pioneered many communications technologies. It was first to market with several products including an app that integrated real time chat with streaming video, real time voice to text mobile app for the deaf and hearing impaired, allowing users to make a mobile call in real time and read what the other person is saying with 98% accuracy.
Raketu Communications Inc. is providing advanced secure peer to peer internet protocol applications (no servers, no supernodes) that provide communications and media services for consumers and for business. The vision is to bring together communications, information and entertainment into one service, to remove the complexities of how people communicate with one another, make a system that is contact centric, and to make it fun and easy to use.
